„Shoes can transform a woman,“ says Fritz Unützer. Ever since the Munich native completed his apprenticeship at Burberry, Churchs and John Lobb in London, his passion for shoes never left him. Building on the heritage and know-how of his father’s company and the experience he had gained since 1947, he founded his eponymous shoe and accessory brand UNÜTZER in 1989.

In order to guarantee the highest quality standards and durability, Unützer acquired its own production facility in Italy, near Venice, at the end of the 1980s – an area where leather goods have been carefully handcrafted for centuries in small manufactories with excellent know-how to meet the highest demands. The respective models are made from the finest materials in up to 160 individual steps by Italian artisans.

Unützer’s creations are timeless, clear in design, refined in detail, characterized by his unerring sense for the successful interplay of inimitable elegance, perfect comfort and fashionable „zeitgeist“.
